The layers will instead lie on top of one another, depending on their relative densities. These shafts convey various amounts of water, depending on their location. Depending on the geology and the tectonics of the surrounding rock and the lining employed in the shafts, flows of heat energy and materials occur between the groundwater reservoir, other geological layers and the atmosphere.<\/p>\n<p>This is why it is essential to analyse the density stratifications in the shafts when planning to allow minewater to ascend within the existing mineworkings following the shut-down event.<\/p>\n\t<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\n\t\t\t<\/div> \n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div> \n<\/div><\/div>\n\t\t<div id=\"fws_69e8fc6079a74\"  data-column-margin=\"default\" data-midnight=\"dark\" data-top-percent=\"4%\" data-bottom-percent=\"7%\"  class=\"wpb_row vc_row-fluid vc_row standard_section\"  style=\"padding-top: calc(100vw * 0.04);
